He's gained 2 1/2 inches and over 2 lbs since the 4 month check-up! Time for convertible car seats!
We've been given the go ahead to try "baby food snacks" after he's tried most of the Stage 2 foods. No real table food until 9 months -- we'll see if we can hold out! He can also have watered down juice in a big boy cup!
Foods he's tried so far: carrots, squash, sweet potatoes, green beans, peas, bananas, prunes, pears, applesauce, fruit medley, apple/vanilla/granola and apples/bananas/strawberries (Mom's favorite!).We had to confess that we're still not rolling over. The Dr. said not to worry to much about it since he's already sitting up. Apparently a lot of babies skip rolling because they now have to spend so much time on their backs.
Other accomplishments: passing toys between his hands, reaching for things, and starting to jibber-jabber.Things we'll be looking for by the next appointment at nine months: babbling and pulling up!

Austin-
Where is our "Little Boy" going, you are growing up way to fast! When I read that the next Dr. visit you will be trying to pull up, it almost made me want to cry! But, you are getting to be a "Big Boy" and we will all enjoy hearing and seeing your new tricks!
Luv you BUNCHES!! Aunt Lynn
Has he tried meat? Mason hates it, so I mix in some sweet potatoes and he'll eat it. He went today for his 6 month-he and Austin are like exactly the same size! He weighs more though! 22 lbs. 7 oz, 28 inches, 18 3/4 head. He is HEAVY!
