Kalli's Sophomore Homecoming {2011}

We made a quick stop at Lolo and John-John's to see Kalli all dressed up for homecoming. She looked absolutely beautiful! It's hard to believe she's already in her second year of High School!

Sunday School

Another great thing about being three is that you get to go to Sunday School! He really seems to enjoy going each week. So far he's learned about Daniel and the Lion's Den, Joseph's Coat of Many Colors and Joseph's Troubles (Skinny cows eating fat cows!). It's so awesome to hear his interpretation of every bible story. How simple, yet wise their little minds are!

Our Little House on The Prairie: Sept 26 - 30

It won't be long now!

Shutters, gutters and front porch column

Garage is practically empty!

We have toilets and faucets!

Ovens and Microwave installed.

Master bathroom shower

Back porch columns and fan

Trenches for drain pipes

Up next: Counter top, carpet, closet shelves and touch-up painting. We are definitely in the homestretch!

Our Little House on The Prairie: Sept 19 - 23

So much stuff was done this week...it was hard to remember what was finished by the time Friday rolled around. We are definitely in the home stretch now...

Master bath shower

Ceiling fans in the master bedroom, kids' room, great room and playroom.

MUCH better!

We even had to do a little remodeling this week. There was a cabinet issue that only gave us 20 some inches between the end of the breakfast bar and wall of cabinets with the cook top and microwave. Long (and stressful/emotional at times) story short... they had to move all of the pendent lights which required cutting out the plaster. I'll admit that I wanted to puke at the thought but it's all fixed now and we can move on...

Kitchen Lights

I've never been so excited to see WORKING lights!

Praise the Lord for a banister! My wonderful son nearly gave me a heart attack every time he came near the open stairs.

Front porch! All ready for pumpkins!!

Dinning room columns and light (which will be lower once construction work is done)

Appliances!!

Friday must have been clean and organize day!

Outside lights!

Living room furniture!

Up next: touch-up painting, more lights, gutters, and plumbing work. I just realized a few days ago that we don't have toilets. Ah, the minor details!

Our Little House on The Prairie: Sept 12 - 16

It was an exciting week! The week kicked off with tile in the kitchen and master bath. I just realized I got so excited about everything else that I never took a good picture of the floor! The week ended with cabinets...and a few extras, too!

Master Bath (Condoo) Vanity & Tile

Master Bath door to closet (which is locked!) and linen cabinet

Kids' bathroom with vanity, tile and light (still trying to decide if it's upside down!)

Window trim in dining room!

KITCHEN!!!!! Woot!!! (Cabinets still wrapped will eventually be part of the "bar" that comes out on the left)

Laundry room cabinets and pocket door

Laundry room cabinets - I'm going to admit I almost passed out when I saw these. It's like another mini kitchen!!

Door to playroom

Closet trim in playroom

Siding!

Mantel!

1/2 bath vanity, tile and light (upside down? maybe!)

Trim work in Austin's room

Central vac!

And last but not least.... no more corn in our back yard! Now we can keep tabs on our rowdy neighbors! (Hee hee!!)

Up next:
This weekend: Hardwood!!!
Next week: Finish siding, trim, doors, etc. Living room furniture is being delivered on Tuesday (it will have to be stored for a few weeks) and appliances come on Thursday!!
