!Feliz Cinco de Mayo!

Happy Cinco de Mayo! We had Oprah over to help us celebrate.
She was so excited she brought TWO outfits!
What did you do to celebrate?

Chow Time

We've slowly started to introduce Austin to "real people" food. In the spirit of Easter, he had eggs for the first time a few weeks ago.

Are you sure I'm ready for this?
I guess I'll give it a shot!
Are you sure this is food?
Not too bad!
Maybe I'm getting a little full.
No more eggs please!
Maybe I could just hide them down here...
Busted! We think a small amount of eggs actually did make it into his mouth that morning!

Other table foods he's tried: toast, cheese, green beans, noodles, mac & cheese, cantaloupe, pudding, spaghetti, potatoes, corn, yogurt and a few other things that we won't mention because they are on the "no no" list!

A Fun First Easter

The Easter bunny was very good to Austin on his first Easter. I think he even gave Santa a run for his money!

Easter with Nana, Pa, Aunt B and Uncle C.It's raining eggs! Please mom???
Easter with the Kiefers.
All dressed up for our first Easter church service...
Easter with the Hentis' and Gregsons.
Austin loved his first Easter... but he's still not sure about Easter grass!
Thanks to everyone (including those who the camera missed!)who thought of Austin on his first Easter. He's a very lucky little boy!

Easter Morning

Our first Easter as a family was so much fun. The morning started off with Austin finding his goodies from the Easter Bunny!
A Fisher Price Laugh and Learn Table, a swing, travel high chair and Easter books! Daddy says the Easter bunny went a little overboard. I think the Easter bunny knows Austin will only have his first Easter once!Look Dad! A swing!
A puff! The Easter bunny knows just what he likes! The aftermath...
Next, we had an Easter breakfast. Austin wore his "my first Easter" bib from G'Aunt Sissy.
Daddy and Austin read Easter books while I got ready for the day's festivities.
We look forward to many more special Easter memories!
