Playing Outside

We like to spend time outside when the weather allows. We spread out a blanket and play with toys as we watch the cars, trucks and tractors go by. The neatest thing is that Austin is sitting on what was his Great-Grandma Gross' quilt in what was his Great-Grandma Salger's front yard! I know they both would have loved him so much!
We always tell the cars to SLOOOOOW Down!! We don't know Ian, but we love his basketball!
Stop by the next time you see us out in the yard. There's plenty of room on the blanket for you!

Flashback Friday - September '08

I thought it might be fun (for me at least) to see what Austin was doing a year ago this month. After reviewing his blog, I decided that September '08 was a big month for him! He sent Daddy back to work after eight great weeks together, survived his first shots, started sleeping in his own bed (10 hrs straight!), and started to really "talk!"

I should have known his first word was going to be cow!
He still loves his woobies!
He really DID look like me!His love for Baby Einstein begins...(Look! At that point, we could still have plants in the living room!)
Such a cool dude at just two months old!Look at all of that dark hair! Is it strange that I still remember the music to this play-mat??

Tractor Parade '09

Some of the local farmers in our area have been holding an old time tractor parade for the past few years. The tractors have to be 75 years old to be in the parade. Austin was a little young to watch last year, but this year he had a front row seat!
Here they come!
G'Uncle Fred E. throwing candy...Pa, did you see all of those tractors?!?Cousin Nathan throwing candy to the kids...
What a fun thing to be able to do from our front yard! Can't wait until next year, or better yet, when Pa and Austin can be in the parade!

Go, Go, Go!

Austin's latest words are "go, go, go!" I tried all weekend to get it on video, and I thought you might enjoy watching my efforts...

Finally, his Dad gets him to say it! I think he's more then a little annoyed with us at this point!
