They tell you to baby-proof your home
before your child starts to move. Did we listen? Nope! We thought we had plenty of time. I mean he's
only 10 1/2 months old! I went into panic mode tonight when I realized that outlets and corners need to be covered, valuables and breakables need to be locked away, plants need to be removed, floors need to be kept swept and
MORE!
Why am I so stressed? Because this started over the weekend...
Austin has started scooting on his bottom. (This could be history repeating itself, since Mama here was a scooter until 18 months!) He's been moving for awhile but
nothing like this! He's getting faster each day! Which leads to things like this when I leave the room...
It is so strange to walk into a room and find him on the other side. I am
SO not ready, but I must admit it melts my heart when I turn around and see my little scooter following behind me!
We like to play outside when it's not raining (which isn't very often these days...)
It's nice to let our piggies play in the grass...
Sometimes we even practice our walking...
Or we just lay around with some good reading material...
One thing we won't be doing again is eating grass...
